Christmas is on its Way!

Ella is so excited about her 1st Christmas!

Ella Sleeping

The holiday season is officially upon us!  Last week Ella made her first trip to the outlets-something myself and Mom do every year around this time.  This is when I normally start my Christmas shopping and this year was no different.  She was SO good and just loved looking at everything and being adorable.  She also enjoyed listening to the next table's conversation during lunch.

Ella will celebrate her first Thanksgiving next week and she is even more excited about her first Christmas.  She officially has two teeth now and we are thinking that another one is trying to make its way through but we aren't positive yet because we can't see or feel anything.  She is sitting up for a couple minutes and she can go longer if she is trying to get something or if she is playing.  She has also been practicing her "swimming" and I don't think it will be too long before she is crawling all over the place chasing Meryl all over the house.

She had her first official photo shoot in her dad's office and she is very excited about her first xmas cards!  Meryl didn't quite cooperate-maybe next year.  This week will be busy as always and Pete will be spending the end of the week in Mexico.

One Year Down

Year two will be great! We have some pretty cool, ambitious additions in the pipeline so please stay tuned for those things. As for year one I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has visited the site. Kristin and I had no idea if anyone outside of our immediate family would check in with the site. We both are constantly surprised when we review our Google analytics and see how dramatically we have blown expectations away. So thank you for your time and we hope you all continue to come back.

Lastly to everyone who has left comments on our posts thank you very much! It's pretty exciting to receive the emails letting us know that someone has commented on one of our posts. Please keep checking in and I can't encourage you enough to share your thoughts by commenting on the posts.

Now there are two!

Ella officially has two teeth

Ella officially has two teeth now and she is very happy that the second one has finally come through.  She had a few grumpy days while it made its way out but now she is back to her normal cheerful self.  A few more foods has been introduced and she is a fan of both!  Unfortunately, carrots are a bit messy but she loves them so we are hoping that this spitting up subsides very soon.  Applesauce and is also a new favorite so at least now she can have a little variety.

She has been practicing sitting up alot lately and is getting very good at it.  She can sit for a minute or two by herself and then she falls over.  Since she is getting so good at it, we decided to give her a try at sitting in a shopping cart carseat free.  She did ok by needed a little assistance to help her from tipping over.  I think we will give it a couple more weeks before we try it again.

She did wonderfully in the stroller though and loved being able to see everything.  Wednesday she will make her first trip to the outlets in Lee to start off our Christmas shopping.  Hopefully the day will be as nice and as warm but we will be thankful for a rain free day.  Then just two more weeks and Thanksgiving is here-and this begins the countdown to Ella's first Christmas!

Ella’s First Halloween!

The Search for the Purr-fect Costume!

Our Little Pumpkin

Halloween was great this year! Ella looked so cute in her little cat costume, the weather was great and we got to catch up with my folks. All in all the day was a smashing success.

Due to the low turn out of houses giving out candy on our street we got less kids than usual but nonetheless it was still a fun night. I can't speak for Kristin but man I am so excited for Christmas-its going to be awesome!
